Some say this tool to catch fish in muddy fast running waters came to Canada and the Yukon via Asian labourers during the gold rush. Others say it was invented somewhere in Scotland. No matter what, Tommy Taylor, owner of Fishwheel Charters in Dawson City, is sure. He knows that the Fishwheel was among the most important tools to help his people, the Hän of the Klondike, survive for thousands of years. And he was nice enough to show us how his own wheel works!
